UNIVERSITY RESEARCH FACILITY IN 3D PRINTING

Engineer (Ref. 250116007-IE)

Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a) develop scientific and technical platforms for meeting the development of the University Research Facility in 3D Printing (U3DP);

(b) provide technical advice and consultation to U3DP users;

(c) participate in promotional activities of U3DP and the University;

(d) undertake training activities including supervision of student projects;

(e) operate and maintain equipment booking system;

(f) supervise, maintain and uphold the smooth running of U3DP facility; and

(g) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of U3DP or his delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should:

(a) have a recognised degree in Engineering or Science disciplines with at least 5 years of solid experience in engineering or research works;

(b) have solid experience and track record in conducting / supporting university research projects;

(c) preferably have good knowledge of and experience in 3D printing, mechatronics, robotic and AI;

(d) have proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g. Solidworks and Shapr3D), preferably with experience in 3D Printing related software (e.g. Magics RP and Mimics) and 3D scanning software (e.g. Geomagic Design X);

(e) have good communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to complete task independently and to work well as a team player;

(f) have a good command of both written and spoken English, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
