Duties
The appointee will support the Director and the Gallery’s Team in coordinating exhibitions, events, marketing and community engagement activities. Major duties include to:
- Provide secretarial support to the Director and committees;
- Offer comprehensive logistical support for the Gallery’s exhibitions, events, marketing and community engagement initiatives, and liaise with internal units and external parties for exhibition and event management;
- Carry out administrative and house-keeping duties for the Gallery’s operations (such as preparing tendering and financial documents, managing budget control, and compiling statistics and reports);
- Support the Student Ambassador Programme, supervise student docents, and coordinate their training and duty rosters;
- Handle enquiries and access registration for visitors, and provide follow-up services;
- Update and maintain the webpages of the Gallery and individual exhibitions; and
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree/Associate Degree/Higher Diploma, with at least 6 years’ relevant post-qualification working experience, preferably in gallery administration or exhibition management; attention to details with a strong sense of responsibility; good interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work independently and be a good team player; proficiency in using MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint); and good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua) are required. Experience in art collaborations and event management would be advantages.
Candidates with less working experience may be considered for appointment as Executive Assistant II.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.
Salary and Conditions of Service
Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
