Job Description
- Authority holder for the new product line, incorporating multiple existing Chubb lines of business. (P&C underwriting skill set minimum requirement)
- Support new business development both technology and conventional process initiated
- Analyze Small Commercial market trends and develop strategies and new product development initiatives
- Responsibility for delivering and executing annual plans and regular forecasts in conjunction with Finance
- Implement Digital platform/s to provide transactional capability across the full policy lifecycle
- Leader of product development and distribution (new and renewal)
- Manage the relationships with external distribution partners and the IDP team
- Manage underwriting audit and peer review process, including conducting reviews
- Portfolio Management (including establishing agile portfolio review process)
- Monitor wording integrity in line with Product Board guidance
- Responsibility for the implementation of the Digital Underwriting Strategy
Qualifications
- Experience with IT or Digital platform development & implementation in the insurance industry
- Good relationship skills and experience working with multiple channels of distribution
- Must have leadership and organizational skills through past management experience.
- Excellent negotiation and analytical skills.
- Excellent communications and customer service skills to handle all levels of operations, professional and management employee’s
- Excellent project management and organization skills to keep projects on track and working with external and internal resources
- Excellent time management to insure time is optimally utilised by the resources.
- The ability to effectively manage conflict and daily issues dealing with the relationship between the professionals in the areas and the business customers
- Must work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to adjust to change driven by business needs
- Ability to look for “win win” situations
- Identify business needs to prioritise work based on business impact, resources and operational constraints.
