Position Summary:

Health, Safety & Environmental Manager is responsible for overseeing the comprehensive management of health, safety, security, and environmental aspects at our warehouses in Hong Kong. Reporting directly to the Quality Assurance Director, this role requires strategic leadership and collaboration with various stakeholders to develop, review and ensure the effective implementation of Health, Safety, Security and Environment standards, emphasizing safety, security, environmental protection, and supporting to the Quality Assurance team.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, review and implement Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) programs, policies and procedures 
  • Establish and maintain HSSE standards based on best practices and international benchmarks in focusing on safety, security, and environmental sustainability
  • Lead and participate in client and regulatory audits related to safety, security, and environmental compliance at the warehouses, ensuring adherence to international standards such as TAPA, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
  • Conduct safety audits, security assessments, and environmental impact analyses regularly and recommend control measures to eliminate and/or mitigate workplace accidents
  • Manage the safety, security, and environmental audit reports and liaise with department heads to ensure timely execution of audit corrective actions
  • Ensure rigorous enforcement of safety, security, and environmental protocols, monitoring the adherence to these policies by all relevant teams and providing regular updates on compliance and effectiveness
  • Oversee the management of industrial accidents, security incidents, and environmental issues and responsible for the full processing of related cases from initial response through to investigation, reporting, and final resolution
  • Develop and deliver training programs on safety, security, and environmental standards to promote workplace safety, health and environment awareness and accident preventive measures among employees

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health Management or related discipline 
  • With over 6 years of relevant experience in managing Health, Safety, Security and Environment at managerial level
  • With Registered Safety Officer (RSO) and Registered Safety Auditor (RSA) are a must
  • Familiarity with the latest statutory and contractual requirements and with solid understanding of professional practices related to local safety and health regulations
  • Good interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 
  • Team player capable of adapting to ambiguous environments with cross-group collaboration and problem-solving abilities with Growth mindset
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (Including Cantonese)

 

Location

We have multiple work locations in Hong Kong, this position will be based in our Tsing Yi office.
