Job Description

The Academy of Interdisciplinary Studies is looking for a self-motivated and committed Instructional Assistant to support courses of our Dual Degree Program in Technology & Management (T&M-DDP). The appointee will perform a wide spectrum of teaching-related and administrative duties to support the TEMG courses.  The appointee is primarily responsible for the following areas:

  1. Providing support to TEMG courses (e.g. developing teaching materials and lesson plans, looking for corporate sponsorship, providing class support to teaching faculty and logistics support to course or project-related activities and assessment)
  2. Assisting in organizing TEMG1010 co-curricular activities and other student enrichment activities (e,g, mock interview, survival camp, high impact presentation workshop, assessment center simulation, overseas competition, field trip, etc.)
  3. Managing IT projects and liaising with external vendors; and
  4. Performing any other duties as assigned by the supervisors.

Working outside normal office hours and outside Hong Kong will be occasionally required.

Applicants should have a good bachelor's degree, preferably in Business and Management and Engineering, or a related discipline.  The ideal candidate should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, good computing knowledge (e.g., Microsoft Office applications, online course platforms, programming, website development, etc.), and good interpersonal and communication skills.  Exposure to consultative problem-solving techniques is a plus.  They should enjoy interacting with students; be detail-minded, meticulous and highly organized; and have the ability to meet project milestones and multi-task. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.  A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
