The Greater Bay Area International Clinical Trial Institute (GBAICTI) is a wholly-owned entity of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, positioning as a centralized clinical research facilitation platform with the mission and vision of creating and sustaining a thriving clinical research ecosystem and energizing the development of a healthy and wealthy society through biomedical innovation, research, translation and development in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area (GBA). The University of Hong Kong Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine (HKUMed) is appointed as the operator of GBAICTI. We are seeking a high calibre talent to join the operation team as IT Manager.
Main Responsibilities:
- Report to the Vice President (Corporate Services & Administration) and supervise the information technology management functions;
- Support the formulation and implementation of information technology strategies to facilitate the achievement of the mission, vision and objectives of GBAICTI;
- Develop, procure and manage IT infrastructure and applications serving the needs of GBAICTI;
- Design and implement IT-related policies and processes (including but not limited to data security and risk management) to ensure data security, compliance, quality, IT assets management and efficient operations;
- Prepare and monitor the budgets for IT capital and recurring expenses;
- Manage relationships with vendors and contractors for IT-related services;
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Holder of a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or other related disciplines;
- A minimum of 5 years of professional and supervisory experience in IT management, preferably in public organizations or reputable corporations;
- Proven experience as a system analyst, with solid knowledge of business information systems and prevailing programming languages;
- Commitment to quality, integrity, confidentiality and compliance;
- Good organizational, project management, problem-solving and analytical skills;
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, in particular, in explaining technical details to non-technical executives;
- Detail-minded, able to handle multiple concurrent tasks and self-motivated;
- A good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.
