JOB DESCRIPTION
Renaissance College is seeking to appoint a Laboratory Technician II / III to the Science Department.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Lab Technician I, if any, in setting up major health & safety rules in the laboratory
- Provide risk assessment guidance for lessons
- Manage the disposal of chemicals properly
- Purchase and keep stores of apparatus, equipment and other inventory
- To prepare materials, chemicals and apparatus for lessons, as requested by teachers for science and related subjects
- Help students during lessons/ Demonstrate experiments to students
- Help in the development of practical resources for Key Stage students
- Act as technology expert as tech II to support teachers
Requirements
- Lab Technician Diploma/Certificate or equivalents(including health & safety)
- Relevant experience in working with students from Year 7 to 13
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
- Able to support physical work such as moving equipment/laptops between different floors
- Familiar with data loggers and MS Office applications, including Word and Excel
- Be able to design systems or equipment for students' use
- Candidates with less experience will be considered as Laboratory Technician III
Applicants must be a permanent Hong Kong resident or possess a valid visa to work in Hong Kong.
