Job Description
Duties:
1. Provide support for teaching, research and service to the School of Health Sciences in the nursing and other health-care courses.
2. Follow school directions for nursing skills laboratory station set-up and aftercare of supplies/equipment in all teaching, skills assessment and students’ self-practice
3. Assist in the setting up, operation and maintenance of the equipment required for teaching / learning activities including manikins, simulation models, patient-care equipment and other computing / audio visual facilities.
4. Maintain inventory of laboratory equipment and supplies to ensure equipment are in good condition and supplies are adequate.
5. Maintain the daily operation of the nursing skills laboratories and ensure a safe and clean condition in all work areas.
6. Aassist in-house and vendor servicing of laboratory equipment, follow any required repairs / maintenance and to keep updated records for tracking.
7. Support and facilitate the student self-practice sessions in the nursing skills laboratories.
8. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Dean of the School of Health Sciences or his delegates.
The appointee may be required to work outside normal office hours and on Saturdays and Sundays due to specific operational requirement.
Appointment Criteria:
- Five passes in HKCEE/HKDSE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics.
- Good computer knowledge and experience in using application software such as MS Office, photo/video editing software and e-learning system, etc.
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
- Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills; and able to work independently.
