The University now invites application for the following position:
Lecturer (Full-time) – Department of Art and Design (Ref: L (AAD) 2024-11-22)
Responsibilities:
The appointee will be responsible for the planning, development, coordination and delivery of undergraduate modules in the field of art and design/cultural and creative industries, specialising in either (i) history / theory of art and design/art administration, (ii) creative production and technology, (iii) cultural policy and research methodologies, or (iv) professional practices in art and design/cultural and creative industries. The appointee will be expected to teach general education course and engaged in scholarly and administrative activities of the Department / School / University.
Applicants should:
- possess a recognised master’s or above in Humanities and Social Science or disciplines or professional studies related to art and design/cultural and creative industries;
- have a high level of subject knowledge, practical and competence in the academic or professional discipline concerned, including rich knowledge in art and design/culture and creative industries, etc.;
- have a successful track record of academic or professional experience in tertiary teaching or professional services or relevant industry experience; and
- have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.
The appointee is expected to assume duty in January 2025. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
