Position Summary
In the context of growing sales in Asia region, and the objective of the optimization of Lacoste supply chain, the logistics manager is responsible for managing the warehouses operations, upstream & downstream logistics.
Working in the Supply Chain Division of South APAC (SEA, Hong-Kong, Oceania) and reporting to the Logistics Manager of South APAC, your role as Logistics Officer is to manage the day to logistics operations involving inbound shipments, warehousing operations, outbound logistics to distribute our products in the designated geography. On one hand you closely coordinate & monitor the work of the involved 3PL ensuring their performance & adherence to SOP; on the other hand, you work closely with the other Lacoste teams to address their needs & provide visibility of the on-going operations.
Job Responsibilities
I. Upstream logistics / inbounds logistics (shipments from factories to warehouse)
- Coordinate with Lacoste sourcing offices, Lacoste suppliers, to follow-up and arrange shipments as per defined SOP
- Monitor & coordinate with the nominated forwarders to place bookings, monitor shipments
- Analyze and decide the optimized ship mode and loading mode to optimize time vs costs as per defined rules & SOP
- Monitor & collect shipping documents to arrange importation requirements as well as delivery of goods from the port to our warehouse
- Maintain systems transactions as required to ensure smooth processing of operations
- Monitor inbound warehouse activities to ensure on time processing as per SLA; work closely with warehouse to troubleshoot issues
II. Warehouse operations & outbound logistics
- Work closely with our Lacoste business teams to arrange outbounds required
- Monitor warehouse pick & pack activities to ensure on time processing as per SLA / track the status, align priority with Lacoste business teams & provide visibility on target feasible completion dates; work closely with warehouse to troubleshoot issues
- Coordinate shipment preparations with Lacoste business teams, customers, involved 3PL (shipment booking, shipping documents preparation, etc.)
- Manage ad-hoc requests from management
III. Logistics costs control & inventory accuracy
- Review & control logistics invoices from 3PL to ensure accurate & fair billing according to negotiated pricing & validated exceptions on case-by-case basis
- Record costs in reporting templates & systems as per defined SOP
- Provide a first layer of analysis & insights regarding costs where they deviate or where they are out of the standard
- Reconcile stocks between the Lacoste system and our 3PL ; ensure 99.9% stocks accuracy
Job Requirements
- Higher diploma in Logistics / Supply Chain or related discipline;
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Logistics including managing shipping, warehouses and 3PL (forwarders & warehouse 3PL); in an international environment
- Experience in managing or supervising 3PL (in a customer capacity);
- Experienced in working in ERP systems or similarly complex systems;
- Opened-minded with the drive for continuous improvement;
- Strong analytical skills and good in MS Excel;
- High level of fluency in Cantonese, English & Mandarin
