RESEARCH AND INNOVATION OFFICE

Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) initiate, plan and coordinate institutional collaborative research platforms and programmes, especially related to engineering and technology development;
(b) actively liaise and build up good relationship with the academic and research community, industry and various stakeholders from oversea and the Mainland to enable effective communication and implementation of projects and initiatives;
(c) facilitate activities with partners related to collaborative research and technology development such as planning, organising, coordinating and implementing network events, meetings, seminars, workshops and various marketing activities of the Office; and
(d) perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Director of Research and Innovation or his/her delegates.
The appointee will be required to work beyond normal office hours when necessary and travel to Mainland and overseas occasionally.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have a recognised degree in Engineering, Science, Technology or a related discipline;
(b) possess at least five years of solid professional experience at supervisory level, with experience in collaborative technology platforms and/or programmes would be an advantage;
(c) have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua; and
(d) be highly motivated, result-oriented, dynamic and mature with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build/maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
Preference will be given to those who have a good understanding of technology transfer, Innovation & Technology (I&T) trends, business development skill, and/or networking with the I&T sector.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
