Position Description

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Manager in Marketing, to lead all marketing initiatives across the organisation, focusing on increasing awareness, engagement and support for Mother’s Choice. 

The Marketing Manager will collaborate closely with the Mother’s Choice Service’s teams, to equip them with on-brand tool kits, marketing collaterals and creative campaigns. The aim is to amplify the Mother’s Choice vision and mission, engage target audiences and attract support from donors, volunteers and other stakeholders. The Marketing Manager will create an on-going marketing strategy and oversee the planning, execution and optimisation of our integrated marketing campaigns. The overall goal is to promote Mother’s Choice four core Services and their related service programmes.

As Marketing Manager it is crucial to stay up-to-date on the latest marketing trends and techniques, as well as understanding the unique challenges and opportunities within the non-profit sector in Hong Kong. The role requires a clear understanding of the mission and vision of Mother’s Choice and a passion to work helping the lives of vulnerable children and girls dealing with crisis pregnancies.

 

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy Development: 

Create a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with Mother’s Choice's goals and objectives. Identify target audiences and develop strategies to reach them effectively across the four Services.

Brand Positioning: 

Develop and maintain the organisation's brand identity, ensuring consistency across all marketing materials channels. Position Mother’s Choice as a reputable and trustworthy entity in the Hong Kong NGO sector.

Branding + Tone of Voice (Services): 

Collaborate with the Services program officers to ensure that the brand guidelines and tone of voice are effectively communicated and implemented across all services collateral. This may involve providing guidance and conducting training sessions with the program officers to ensure that everyone involved in creating and distributing services materials understands and follows the brand and tone of voice guidelines. The goal is to strengthen brand recognition and create a cohesive brand identity that resonates with our target audience.

Digital Marketing: 

Utilise various digital marketing channels, such as social media, email marketing, website optimisation, and search engine marketing to increase Mother’s Choice's online presence, engage with supporters, and drive traffic to the organisation's website.

Fundraising: 

Support the Fundraising team by creating marketing campaigns that generate donations and financial support for Mother’s Choice's initiatives.

Partnerships and Collaborations: 

Identify and establish partnerships with other organisations, influencers, and community leaders to expand Mother’s Choice reach, leverage resources, and amplify our message.

Monitoring and Evaluation: 

Track and analyse all the marketing efforts in order to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and provide regular reports and insights to the management team.

Budget Management: 

Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and cost-effective strategies.

Collaboration: 

Work with the Marcom team and Service teams with a focus on collaboration, professional growth, and alignment with the Mother’s Choice values.

Event Promotion: 

Assist the events team in marketing special events, workshops and other activities that support the organisation’s goals.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Non-Profit Management or a related field.
  • At least 8 years proven experience in marketing, preferably in a non-profit or consumer goods setting.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Cantonese.
  • Strong understanding of brand management and digital marketing strategy.
  • Experience in creating and executing marketing campaigns tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Exceptional storytelling, writing, and editing skills.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms.
  • Commitment to the Mother’s Choice mission and passion for social issues related to the cause.
  • ⁠Willingness to learn, to collaborate and to push creatives boundaries to maximise impact.
  • Proven track record of leading successful, integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Excellent project management and team leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a high-performing team as well as multi-task.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making abilities, with experience in campaign performance analysis and reporting.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of emerging marketing trends, best practices, and technologies.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Must share the commitment of Mother’s Choice in upholding the safety and protection of children as paramount.
