Role Objective

    To ensure our vendors/contractors comply with all applicable OHS regulations, policies, procedures, and requirements at all times.

Job Duties

  • Formulate and provide efficient and effective safety solutions, proposals, suggestions, and prompt implementation while working independently with strong self-initiative.
  • Ensure and supervise that the internal and external communication processes regarding the OHS management system’s performance, improvements, and effectiveness are established and function properly.
  • Conduct incident investigations (on construction sites or in shopping centers), perform root cause analysis, and report incidents to prevent accidents, near misses, and non-compliance.
  • Implement industry best practices and related standards and guidelines, and develop and implement an internal sustainability strategy.
  • Implement environmental mitigation measures (such as Asbestos Management Plan) and commitments as required by the EPD.
  • Conduct regular on-site inspections of construction sites to ensure they are free from risks to the operations of shopping centres, car parks, tenants, and the general public.
  • Supervise and promote site safety while monitoring and promoting environmental management.
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as required.

Requirements

  • Degree in occupational health and safety, engineering management or construction related disciplines.
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience following professional qualification as a Registered Safety Officer.
  • Qualification as a Trainer for Mandatory Safety Training or Confined Space Training.
  • Solid experience in safety supervision for construction projects, A&A works, R&M works, and property management or equivalent.
  • Safety experience in sizable organizations, including policy formation, guideline preparation, report writing, and chairing safety meetings.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant safety legislation, practices, and guidelines.
  • Hands-on and practical approach, with excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office and PowerPoint.
  • Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese.
  • Candidates with less experience will be considered as Assistant Safety Manager, OHS.

Remuneration

We offer a 5-day work week and an attractive remuneration package commensurate to the right candidates with qualifications and working experience.
