Job Description
The applicant must possess
-
a recognised degree, preferably in Occupational Safety and Health / construction safety / construction management or other related disciplines;
-
a minimum of 10 years of post-qualification experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial capacity;
-
qualification of Registered Safety Auditor (RSA), Registered Safety Officer (RSO), holder of First Aid Certificate would be an advantage;
-
solid people management skills and project management skills, demonstrating the ability to effectively lead both teaching and administrative staff, and to manage projects, from planning and execution to monitoring and completion;
-
good networking capabilities and ability to establish strong working relationships with the government, the construction industry and other major stakeholders with the view to meet the needs and demands of the industry;

a strong sense of compliance, by ensuring all safety protocols and regulations are followed and lead staff to adhere to these standards;
-
skills in AI and data analytics for strategic planning and decision-making would be an advantage;
-
a strong command of both written and spoken English and Chinese. Fluency in Putonghua is preferred.

Duties include
-
Oversee the daily operations of the Safety Training Department, lead both teaching and administrative staff, and ensure seamless functioning.

Liaise with stakeholders to design and refine training programmes and schemes to align with industry needs, including articulating courses and fostering partnerships with construction companies and educational institutes.

Devise and execute strategic marketing plans to elevate the Safety Training brand.

Support related working groups and relevant meetings, and prepare programme documents, including proposals and reports.

Review and enhance existing training programmes by evaluating their effectiveness and identifying areas for improvement.

Carry out any other duties as assigned from time to time by the Executive Director.
