The Dean of Students’ Office is seeking a detail-orientated and self-motivated individual to administer and support student development programs. The appointee will work closely with co-curricular programs trainers and other HKUST stakeholders to support students’ learning initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide administrative and technical support for learning programs, including managing records and databases, answering inquiries from students and HKUST partners, and preparing reports using Excel.
  • Support workshops and experiential learning programs, including therapy dog sessions and outdoor adventures, by planning, coordinating with HKUST partners and vendors, promoting, collecting feedback, and facilitating.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor or the co-curricular management team.

The role requires flexibility in working hours, including outside normal office hours.

The new appointee will join a stable, high-performing team dedicated to empowering students to grow and learn.  The department has a strong record of delivering successful student development programs in partnership with other university units and strategic education partners.

Applicants should have a bachelor's degree in any discipline and at least 2 years of post-qualification experience.​ The ideal candidate should be proactive, self-motivated, a good team player with strong problem-solving and project management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and possess a student-centric growth mindset. Fluency in English & Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua), and high proficiency in Excel and PC applications are required. Experience in dog care is a plus. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.  A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
