Job Description
Job Scope:
- To raise awareness of gifted education in the community
- To enhance the HKAGE's reputation through brand building with the public in general and stakeholders in particular.
- To help establish and maintain clear links between the PR role and the use of modern technology to promote the work of the HKAGE.
Main Job Responsibilities:
- Assist the Manager (PR & Communications) in planning and implementing publicity strategies, digital marketing in particular;
- Participate in the production of promotional materials including videos, posters, brochures, etc.;
- Participate in the coordination of academy events for developing and maintaining network with stakeholders and media;
- Update the contents of website and relevant social media platforms under the purview of PR & Communications Team;
- Handle external enquiries received through the social media platform in consultation with the Manager (PR & Communications)
- Revise and edit publication materials;
- Monitor relevant news and report to the Senior Management;
- Maintain and regularly update contact lists of media and relevant stakeholders; and
- Assist the Manager (PR & Communications) in monitoring the budget of annual publicity activities
Requirements:
a. A Hong Kong degree in Journalism or Communications or equivalent;
b. At least 4 years work experience in media and public affairs, marketing and/or corporate relations/communications role;
c. Proficiency in social media marketing and advertising;
d. Demonstrable track record of developing successful working relationships with reporters and bloggers;
e. Solid experience in event management and production of promotional materials;
f. Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to speak Putonghua will be preferred;
g. Ability to manage multiple projects and with a high level of attention to details;
h. Creative and flexible, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
i. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to develop relationships and communicate with all levels of team members and managers across divisions;
j. Good knowledge in Chinese MS Office applications and Chinese word processing; and
k. Knowledge in gifted education is preferred but not a must
Terms of Appointment:
The successful candidates will be offered an initial term of two years. Re-appointment will be subject to mutual agreement and good performance. The Academy offers a competitive salary for good candidates. Fringe benefits will be offered according to the job grade of prevailing policy.
