Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Collect, transcribe and analyze historical materials in the field of late imperial China;
  • Perform data entry of unpunctuated classical Chinese materials;
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the principal investigator of the project.

 

Requirements

  • A bachelor degree or above in history or related disciplines.;
  • Knowledge of academic databases (i.e. 中國基本古籍庫), library resources, and other local and international academic resources in Chinese Humanities;
  • A strong ability to search, collect and organise research materials and data;
  • A good command of classical Chinese and English;
  • Strong computational skills in Microsoft Office software suite, including Word, Excel, etc;
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills;
  • General knowledge of Internet and electronic communication;
  • Able to work independently.
