Port Captain

Responsibilities
• To report Operation Department Manager
• To monitor day-to- day fleet operational activities, and maintain safety standards and procedure as well as environmental management, ensure compliance with ISM, ISPS, MLC and other IMO regulations
• To attend vessels and carry out routine audit, inspection and monitor maintenance job 
• To provide guidance to Masters on cargo requirements, manage issues rising from cargo operations and compliance of risk management
• To interview seafarers and evaluate their job performance, to ensure the qualified crew are being recruited and selected

Requirements
• Ocean Going Master, with bulk carrier experience would be preferred
• Degree or diploma in Maritime, with minimum 5 years experience as senior officer onboard or in similar capacity with a sizeable shipping company
• Familiar with IMO regulations including ISM, ISPS, MLC and STCW
• Good command of written and spoken English, Chinese and Mandarin, and working experience with PRC would be preferred
