SO, WHAT'S THE STORY?

 

This is an exciting opportunity for those who are keen on developing their career in product integrity and safety compliance. This is an individual contributor role, providing support to the Quality & Compliance Team, by coordinating with different suppliers and nominated test houses to ensure all parties are able to complete the compliance testing program on schedule.

As a brand custodian this role will work with the Senior Compliance Officer to ensure the legislative compliance of our products through collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders, implementing and maintaining compliance programs across all sourcing locations in the globe including all in-scope in nominated suppliers in terms of compliance management support, execution of corrective action plan, continuous improvement plans, and verification.

 

THE GIG

 

  • Work with footwear factories, materials suppliers and nominated test houses to co-ordinate the accurate collection of components for RSL testing.
  • Manage timelines, KPI tracking and reporting of the RSL compliance program.
  • Provide training (on-site/on-line) to footwear factories and materials suppliers RSL teams to ensure the understanding of DM compliance management program
  • Liaison (on-site/on-line) with nominated test houses to ensure highest possible accuracy of test sample processing and test report presentation.
  • Under guidance of Asia RSL team work to consolidate test samples, where possible, and assist with administration of new consolidation initiatives.
  • Any other tasks as assigned by the Senior Compliance Officer.

To be our Compliance Coordinator, you will also possess these qualities:

  • Higher diploma or degree holder in a science subject preferably in chemistry or a related discipline.
  • 4 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years of experience in the branded environment or retailer industry.
  • Knowledge and exposure in chemical testing, global regulations, and report review on Restricted Substance List (RSL) testing.
  • Possess excellent IT skills including advanced MS Excel applications, to maintain accurate database record and to prepare analytic presentation.
  • Credible, responsible, independent, detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Numerate and literate with good communication skills, able to relay with all parties giving clear and concise advice and instruction on compliance programs.
  • High standard of integrity and compliance, understand the importance of the diligence required to maintain accurate records, and have the tenacity to pursue the correct information as required by all parties.
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English and Mandarin Chinese.
  • Eligibility to work in Hong Kong.
