Product development – Plush Toys

A market leader for over 30 years, Grupo Ruz, specializes in the design, development, and distribution of Toys and Children’s Products.  In addition to our own IP, our portfolio the hottest licenses and brands including Disney, Nickelodeon, Care Bears, Naruto, Pokémon, Sanrio and Sonic.  Product categories include toys (plush, figurines, action figures, dolls, vehicles), back-to-school bags and accessories, and pet products.  We are seeking qualified professionals to join our team.

Product development – Plush Toys

Job Description:

• Project management from time of receiving artwork, to sampling through license approval and production.
• Generate and manage milestones and timelines
• Work closely with overseas Design, Innovation, and Purchasing teams, including weekly video meetings.
• Coordinate with local quality team and suppliers to define solutions during product development and mass production
• Present to management new suppliers, product ideas, materials and concepts.
• Negotiate costing, schedules, terms and shipdates
• Vendor and PO management
• Occasional on-site inspection duties required
• Systematic filing and uploading of data to shared files and ERP
• Ad hoc duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience in licensed plush development, including electronic plush
• Strong understanding of relevant production processes
• Proven project management and problem-solving skills
• Materials and costing knowledge
• Computer literacy with ERP experience (Oracle experience a plus)
• Proactive, detailed oriented, organized and team player
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong negotiation skills
• Strong command of spoken and written English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
• China travel required
• Immediate availability is preferred
