Job Description
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct research on sustainable finance practices and trends, analyze data, and develop recommendations for integrating sustainable finance principles into the organization decision-making processes
- Conduct verifications of financial products or services to ensure compliance with widely recognized sustainable finance principles and guidance in the market
- Provide technical advisory on sustainability standards and principles, including the requirements and guidelines of various sustainability certifications and labels
- Design and develop marketing or training content to support business development activities
- Engage with new and prospective clients to identify and develop solutions to manage client’s sustainability needs, to expand and develop new business with existing and prospective clients
- Liaise with banks and financial institutes on sustainable finance consultancy projects in Asia Pacific region
- Liaise with clients, manage client relationships on green and sustainable finance verification projects in Asia
- Support the provision of guidance and advice to issuers, investors, and other stakeholders on sustainable finance best practices
- Assist business development and marketing team to expand sustainable finance verification business in Asia
Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent in Environmental Studies or other relevant disciplines.
- Minimum of 3 years of solid relevant experience in ESG or sustainability consulting, assurance, carbon auditing, or sustainability finance verification.
- Excellent report writing and communication skills
- Highly skilled in creation of briefing materials, report writing and preparation of presentations.
- Have a deep understanding of sustainable finance principles and standards.
- Demonstrate successful experience in working with corporate clients.
- Candidate must be a motivated, independent individuals with initiative, who can work autonomously and committed in delivering the highest quality services to our clients.
- Strong project planning skills with the ability to work on multiple projects and initiatives involving multiple senior stakeholders.
- Ability to comprehend, analyze, interpret, and respond effectively to sensitive issues related to sustainability.
- Willingness to undertake occasional business travel.
- Fluency in spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese or Mandarin)
