Quantity Surveyor / Assistant Quantity Surveyor

With experience working on large-scale civil, building and infrastructure projects for Main Contractors.  Responsible for ensuring that the commercial interests of the Project are protected in respect of the Employer, Consultants, Sub-Contractors, Suppliers and Self-Perform work elements in respect of the duties specified below.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure operational use of standard templates, agreements, commercial processes and procedures required for the Project
• To   liaise   with   Operations, Engineering, and Planning Departments to ensure commercial support and delivery is provided as appropriate
• Sub-Contractor and Supplier Package administration from procurement through to final account including ownership of commercial   issues   and   proposing   methods   of addressing the issues
• Track and finalize variations, re-measurement and final accounts with sub­ contractors, suppliers and client on a timely basis
• Preparation of procurement bid analyses for sub-contractors and suppliers
• Contemporary forecasting of all elements of the forecast including package accounts in conjunction with Project's Monthly Reports and Forecasts
• Attend Sub-Contract or Supplier kick off meetings and subsequent package meetings as required
• To be proactive and provide recommendations on how to resolve issues with Sub­ Contractor and Supplier
• Ensure timely assessment and production of Sub-Contractor payment certificates and payments
• Conduct site visit and keep up to-date with site activities and progress
• Input or initiate Project productivity measures or schemes, where appropriate
• Actively assist in maintaining Project positive cash flow
• Arrange timely procurement of Sub-Contracts to avoid Project delays
• To constantly seek improvement and innovation on the Project to aid Project delivery and profitability

Requirements:

• Minimum 3-5 years relevant working experience
• Experienced in the construction of civil & building projects
• Strong leadership skills, mature and able to work independently
• Good command of written and spoken English
• Immediately available is an advantage
• Less experience will be considered as Assistant Quantity Surveyor
