Reporter / Editor (English News Team)

i-CABLE News Limited provides the latest news reports and infotainment programs that cover current affairs, business and finance news, global news and sports information round-the-clock from Hong Kong’s perspective. 

We are seeking talents for the position of Reporter and Editor in English News Team.

Position 1: Reporter 

Responsibilities:

• To be responsible for producing and editing original content
• To manage social media content
• To cover news assignments 
• To produce copies for daily newscast and anchor newscast

Qualifications and Experience Required:

• Degree in Journalism and Communications or related discipline with relevant working experience is highly preferred. 
• Fresh graduates will also be considered
• Excellent command of written and spoken English. 
• Knowledge of Cantonese is highly desirable
• Able to cope with tight timeline and pressure

Position 2: Editor

Responsibilities:

• To be responsible for instructing reporters on local news assignments
• To write and rewrite TV scripts
• To proofread materials to ensure content accuracy
• To organize newscast rundown

Qualifications and Experience Required:

• Degree in Journalism and Communications or related discipline with relevant working experience is highly preferred. 
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in the industry
• Candidates with strong understanding of news will also be considered
• Excellent command of written and spoken English. 
• Knowledge of Cantonese is highly desirable
• Able to cope with tight timeline and pressure
