We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Science and Technology:
Research Assistant II (R6682) (S&T) (Ref: 24002PO)
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee will mainly assist the research team in the research project "Development of Deep Learning Aided Raman Spectroscopy for Monitoring Harmful Algal Boom Causative Species" (R6682). He / She will be responsible mainly for the following:
- Conducting various experiments in the science laboratory;
- Providing deep learning analysis of spectral data and support in literature review;
- Working with the Principal Investigator / supervisors to prepare report writing; and
- Conducting other research activities as instructed by the Investigators.
Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:
- A Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably a Master’s degree, in Computer Science and Engineering or other related disciplines;
- Related research experience in LSTM and Transformer will be preferred;
- Strong programming ability in C++, Python and MATLAB;
- Good writing skills in research articles; and
- Self-motivated, strong learning capability and fluent in English.
