Location: Causeway Bay, Hong Kong

Reports to: Director of Sustainability

Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sustainability Research Specialist to join our Hong Kong office. This role is geared towards individuals with a strong interest in the intersection of psychology and climate change. It offers an excellent opportunity for those planning to pursue a PhD, or for candidates with equivalent research experience one of those areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth research on extrinsic and intrinsic motivation, focusing on how these factors influence behavior change in individuals and organizations.
  • Explore the psychological underpinnings of consumer and organizational behavior in the context of environmental and climate challenges.
  • Assist in the development and assessment of models and strategies that foster positive behavioral changes in various settings, including schools and corporations.
  • Collaborate in the planning, execution, and analysis of research projects, aligning with the Foundation's objectives.
  • Contribute to the preparation and publication of peer-reviewed journal articles, and present research findings at relevant conferences and forums.
  • Engage with diverse stakeholders in Hong Kong and internationally to share research insights and promote behavioral change strategies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Behavioral Sciences, Public Policy or a related field.
  • Experience in research, particularly with a focus on motivation, behavioral change, consumer behavior, or organizational behavior.
  • Demonstrated ability to publish in peer-reviewed journals or present at academic conferences.
  • Proficient in both quantitative and qualitative research methods, including familiarity with statistical analyses and tools.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills in English.
  • Self-motivated, with the capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
