Job Description
Our growing Restructuring and Insolvency Department is a Hong Kong based team that provides restructuring and insolvency services:
- In Hong Kong and the PRC;
- In the Cayman Islands, British Virgin Islands and Bermuda in conjunction with Grant Thornton’s market leading restructuring teams in those locations; and
- Across South East Asia in conjunction with other Grant Thornton member firms in the region.
The team is currently involved in some of the most high profile cases globally and seeking an ambitious individual who will gain exposure across its broad range of projects including:
- Large and complex Hong Kong and cross border insolvencies, both Court appointed, Creditors’ and Members’ Voluntary Liquidation matters.
- Provisional Liquidations, Official Liquidations and Receiverships matters in both the Cayman Islands, British Virgin Islands and Bermuda.
- Independent Business Reviews for major global financiers and/or other stakeholders in the PRC and Indonesia.
- Independent Financial Advisor responsible for reviewing/preparing Schemes of Arrangements, Liquidation Analysis, Restructuring proposals etc.
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree or above in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- Qualified or pursuing an accountancy qualification such as HKICPA/ACCA, etc.
- Three to five plus years of relevant insolvency / restructuring experience in Hong Kong.
- An understanding of corporate insolvency, financial or independent business reviews and restructuring
- Strong Excel, Word, PowerPoint and analytical skills.
- Mature, proactive and committed individual.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to be involved in business development activities.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, Cantonese and Putonghua.
