Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide assistance in setting up before class and organize student materials and equipment after lessons;
  • Support teachers in preparing student work for class activities;
  • Provide assistance at school events, exhibitions and workshops;
  • Organize the maintenance of design equipment such as laser cutter, 3D printer etc.;
  • Draw up and maintain inventory of equipment; maintain resources and keep record of stocks, and to liaise with teachers for ordering needs;
  • Check students’ timetables and liaise with class teachers for the day’s lessons and needs;
  • Arrange regular safety inspections of machinery and equipment;
  • Ensure students’ work and unused materials are returned to appropriate storage area, and ensure each teaching area is locked and secured when not in use;
  • Maintain a record of the department’s risk assessments;
  • Re-organise new equipment and materials for the following academic year; and
  • Back up other Secondary Technicians if required. 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree or higher diploma awarded by a professional institute;
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience preferably in education environment;
  • Practical and sound working knowledge of design equipment and their storage needs;
  • Be IT literate and competent in using google drive / calendar;
  • Able to meet tight deadline, well organized and independent;
  • A very good command of spoken and written English and Cantonese
  • A good standard of Mandarin is desirable, but not essential; and
  • Immediately available is highly preferred.
