Job Description

Senior Associate / Associate – Business & Financial Instrument Valuation (Specialist Advisory Services)

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist in valuation and market analysis engagements for financial reporting, transaction and/or litigation support purposes.
  • Perform valuations such as business, tangible and intangible assets, and financial instruments. 
  • Prepare valuation models and reports and/or review the valuations prepared by other valuers.
  • Perform market research, industry and comparable analysis and analyze financial data. 
  • Collaborate with and support other service lines of the department such as due diligence, M&A, litigation support, forensic, and other advisory services.
  • Support and act towards the BDO Global Vision
  • Be committed to act with the firm’s core values and competency expectations


Requirements 

  • Degree in any one of the following areas: Finance, Accounting, and/or Economics.
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in valuation of businesses, intangible assets, financial instruments, investment property and land & building, is required.
  • Self-driven with can-do attitude and ability to deliver quality output to meet deadlines.
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.
  • Holding or currently studying any professional qualification such as HKICPA, ACCA, CFA Charter, HKIS, RICS or etc. is preferred (but not essential).
  • Solid knowledge or experience in programming using VBA, Python or MATLAB for financial instrument valuation and financial analysis is highly preferred. 
  • Potential applicants, including fresh graduates, with less relevant experience are welcome and will be considered as Associate.
