(Senior) DevOps Engineer

We are a new start-up and fast-growing Technology firm in Hong Kong and are now looking for a professional and hands-on DevOps Engineer to join the team for our projects.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, design, construct, and manage the K8S container platform, including resource management, deployment, expansion, upgrades, and migration
• Monitor and troubleshoot performance and network-related issues during the production deployment phase
• Conduct performance tests to optimize system responsiveness, minimizing latency and jitter in data reception and order execution
• Develop automation tools to streamline deployment, monitoring, and operational processes
• Collaborate closely with the development team to understand system requirements and implement optimal configurations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant full-time work experience
• Solid experience as a K8S Engineer, preferably with OpenShift Container Platform experience
• Proficient in designing and implementing DevOps frameworks using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes, and Ansible; strong knowledge of Kubernetes resource management components like HPA and CA
• Strong understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools and practices
• Familiar with cloud platforms and services
• Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Linux scripting and shell scripting), automation, and security configurations
• Proficient in mainstream monitoring tools; preferably Zabbix/Grafana
• Experience in installing, configuring, and managing components such as nginx, Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ; familiar with MySQL high availability solutions, proficient in operating and configuring MySQL databases, and knowledgeable about database security auditing
• Familiar with the operation of cloud service platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, etc.)
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels
• Good command of English, Cantonese, and Mandarin (both spoken and written). Fluent in Mandarin is a must
