We are looking for high calibre candidate for the following position:

Job Description

Be a part of our visionary Engineering Geological Team providing design solutions for civil, structural and geotechnical projects, drawing on a range of geological skillsets, including:

  • Desk studies and field work for geotechnical risk management, geohazard assessment, site investigation, geotechnical data management, and ground modelling
  • Ability to apply 3D and 4D techniques for conceptual and observational engineering geological modelling for slope, earthwork and foundation design across a variety of terrain and ground conditions
  • Geotechnical assessment for tunnel and bridge engineering
  • Supervision, technical and professional guidance of graduate geologists as part of their development within our Accredited Chartered Geologist Training Scheme for engineering geologists
  • Support project commercial management and preparation of deliverables as part of a multi-national / multidisciplinary team with external and internal stakeholders
  • Advance team capabilities and vision:

i. for growing technical excellence and innovative design solutions through application of digital technologies, and

ii. through commitment to mentoring junior engineering geologists and supporting their ongoing development towards professional status and beyond

Requirements

  • A strong academic background with at least 7 years experience, with a master’s level degree in Engineering Geology or Geology preferable
  • Chartered status with a relevant professional organisation (i.e. CGeol (GSL) or equivalent)
  • Experience in geological mapping, geohazard assessment, ground model development, and ground engineering solutions for infrastructure
  • Experience in designing, specifying, procuring, supervising, and interpreting site investigations within Hong Kong and / or overseas
  • Capability with numerical modelling, kinematic analysis and modelling software desirable
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills; able to team with all levels of staff / clients and nurture the development of junior staff
  • Experience in managing / supervising the work of others, including coordination and quality control of key deliverables / work packages
  • Demonstrable project management and technical leadership skills
