Job Description
The applicant must possess
- a recognised degree in social science / business administration / communications or other related discipline;
- a minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification relevant work experience, preferably in sizeable organisations / education institutions / government departments and construction or engineering industries;
- solid experience in event organization and management, and project execution;
- strong leadership and a high level of integrity and a good sense of responsibility; be meticulous, attentive to details and sensitive to figures;
- proactive, resourceful, creative, energetic character and ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
- proficiency in Microsoft applications, Chinese word processing and website management; and
- good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.
(Applicants who do not possess the required qualifications and / or experience may be considered for other positions within the organisation.)
Duties include
- to organise and manage events, such as job fairs and Graduation Ceremony;
- to develop the employer and alumni network;
- to assist the department head to supervise officers and assistants in managing and delivering job placement service, and career development related programmes, i.e. mentorship programme, site practice, job fairs, sharing sessions and alumni activities, and the Apprenticeship programmes;
- to provide career facilitation services to individual trainees or in aggregate;
- to maintain databases and compile relevant reports;
- to assist and participate in the public relations activities if required;
- to support events in the mainland China if required; and
- to carry out any other duties as assigned from time to time by the Executive Director.
