Job Description

We are looking for the following experienced professional who is capable of carrying out co-ordination work for the project of “Batch 1A Development of Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park”:

Senior Safety Officer (Ref. JD_20236SSO)
The minimum qualifications required for the post of Senior Safety Officer shall be as follows:



Qualification:

  • Degree/Higher Diploma in Occupational Safety or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 12 years' relevant experience in main contractor or resident site
  • Solid experience in coordinating and working with various building contractors.
  • Solid experience in coordinating with the quantity surveyor for the assessment for “pay for safety”.
  • Experience in using “Smart Safety Management System” is an advantage.
  • Registered with the Hong Kong Labour Department as Safety Officer.
  • Member of The Institution of Occupational Safety and Health is an advantage.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
  • Good interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrate determination and strong drive-in executing programs and achieving effectiveness
  • Be a good team player and able to work independently under tight deadlines.
  • Candidate with more experience will be considered as Senior Safety Officer



Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all site safety and Environment issues
  • Implement occupational safety and health policy for ensuring the property safety standards are met.
  • Review safety plan and instructions.
  • Review safety performance of site staff and contractors.
  • Supervision/ monitoring on contractors site safety performance by regular site walks and “Smart Safety management system”
  • Initiate and supervise implementation of proposed safety measures.
  • Organize and attend safety and environmental meetings/ safety and environmental committee meetings.
  • Implement different dry drills for the staff and tenants.
  • Provide proper safety training and guidance to site staff.
  • Perform accident investigations to gauge measures that need to be taken to prevent them the next time, with submitting detailed report of on-site accidents.
  • Conduct detailed safety audits on a periodic
  • Support and assist property to carry out investigations for injury case.
  • Ensure legal compliance.
  • Conduct and coordinate regular internal and external safety audits.
  • Prepare regular Health & Safety performance reports for management review.
  • Plan and coordinate the safety promotion campaign.

 

Employment will be on a contract basis for a period of 12 months commencing immediately with possible extension subject to works condition. The remuneration package will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualification and experience.
