Software Engineer / Senior Software Engineer

Job Description:

1. Assist architect in managing the development standards and quality including performing code review, auditing configuration management, deployment practices etc.

1. Working with different functional teams local and offshore in system support, troubleshooting problems including clients’ production systems
2. Support and Coach the development team
3. Provide solution, advice and guidance on meeting non-functional requirements of system
4. Participate in a multi-million multi-year public sector systems implementation project in a team of over 100 members

Job Requirements:

1. Degree in Computing Studies or related discipline
2. 5 to 10 years’ experience in software development; different grade will be offered depending on seniority
3. Good knowledge and solid experience in one or many of the following areas :
   1. Linux (Ubuntu, RedHat), Kubernetes, MySQL, Elasticsearch, and shell scripting (bash)
   2. performance tuning, such as MySQL, Elasticsearch, Kubernetes, Nginx, and Java applications
   3. CI/CD concepts and tools like Git/GitLab/GitHub and Jenkins
   4. core Java, Spring Boot framework, and Vue.js application development 
4. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills 
5. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders 
6. Good command in spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua) 
7. Responsible, self-motivated and independent
