To cope with our business needs, we are now looking for a high caliber to join us as: 

Store development Project Manager (contract based in Hong Kong)

 

Objectives and responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Director of Architecture & Design for APAC (based in Hong Kong) you will be responsible for overseeing projects from design inception to completion of stores in APAC. Collaborate closely with cross functional teams. The role will also manage existing and new millwork and other vendors in the APAC regions related to store construction.

Key Job Accountabilities

  • APAC experience of design managing new build and fit-out retail projects for wholesale, direct retail and travel retail
  • Assist to manage online POS portfolio to make sure regions opening, renovations dates are accurate
  • Provide market training for new roll out designs and brand strategy.
  • Interact effectively with internal regional cross functional departments (VM, Commercial teams, Marketing, Finance department)
  • Travel retail experience of complete fit-out from design inception to completion. Knowledge of general government regulations, landlord submissions, building contract, construction planning and cost control.
  • Manage furniture vendor. In charge of checking shop drawings, materials and prototypes
  • Consolidate store construction and millwork defects and find solutions to improve
  • Collaborate closely with procurement team on furniture costing and cost benchmarks 
  • Maintaining material library and preparing store opening reports

Desired Skill Sets

  • Degree holder in/or Architectural, Interior Design, Building, Construction Management, Real estate or other related discipline
  • Experience working for retail and/or in house brands/contractor/consultant role/millwork vendor (prefer regional experience)
  • Minimum 3- 5 years’ experience in project and construction management preferred in retail field (less than 5 years’ experience can be assistant PM)
  • Good communication skills and negotiation skills, self-motivated, able to work independently
  • Willing to learn, goal oriented, able to work under pressure, sensitive to the market, customer expectations and brands
  • Proficiency in spoken English (written Cantonese, Mandarin a plus)
  • Proficient in Excel, PPT, CAD, Sketch up, Photoshop and MS word
