Job Description
The appointee will be involved in teaching undergraduate Chinese courses for students with non-Chinese language backgrounds and serve as a facilitator within the Center, especially for students with mixed levels of proficiencies from diversified language backgrounds. The appointee will write, revise and review course materials and exercises, give feedback on students’ assignments, and provide support to students’ learning and course management when necessary. The appointee will also engage in relevant student activities designed to enhance the participants' Chinese language and communication skills.
Applicants should have a bachelor's degree in Chinese language education or any equivalent postgraduate qualification with teaching or other relevant work experience. A good command of Putonghua and written Chinese with excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required. Applicants should be self-starters who can work independently as well as in teams. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
