Job Description
The Computing Services Centre (CSC) at City University of Hong Kong manages the University’s Information Technology infrastructure and services covering Data Centre Operations, Cloud and System Hosting, Research Computing and High-Performance Computing, Communication and Networking, Workspace and Audio-Visual Technologies, and other related IT functions to support the University’s operations.
Duties
-
Handle incident tickets on software and other IT problems via phone, email or in person;

Collaborate with other technical teams for incident diagnosis;

Provide technical support to users on using Windows and Mac operating systems;

Maintain Windows images to speed up the operating system installation;
-
Provide technical support to the printing services;
-
Housekeep IT inventories including hardware and software;

Provide recommendations to improve current IT solutions by diagnosing and resolving technical issues, conducting routine maintenance; and
-
Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements
-
An Associate Degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science/Electronic Engineering, or a related field, preferably 6 years’ post-qualification working experience in IT sectors;

Hands-on experience in user support services especially in supporting Microsoft Outlook, and other Office products,
-
Possess strong analytical abilities and demonstrate a proactive work ethic, complemented by excellent interpersonal and communication skills; and
-
The capability to perform tasks independently with minimal oversight.

Proficiency in written English and Chinese; and
-
Fluency in spoken English and Putonghua would be an advantage.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.
Salary and Conditions of Service
Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
