ROLE SUMMARY:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Tech Service Engineer to join our team in Guangzhou or Hong Kong. The ideal candidate will excel in user support, effective communication, and the management of technology services. This role involves handling tickets assigned from ServiceNow, providing computer support, software installations, minor network troubleshooting, and managing application requests related to our exhibition management system.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and prioritize tickets assigned through ServiceNow, including computer support, software installations, and minor network troubleshooting.
- Handle application requests related to the exhibition management system, such as pricing updates and event item modifications.
- Utilize SQL scripts, .NET framework, SQL reports, PowerBuilder, and other tools for troubleshooting and reporting purposes.
- Act as a bridge between users and the development team, communicating effectively to report bugs and system issues.
- Collaborate with the development team to convey user feedback and assist in improving system functionality.
- Provide basic programming support and have a solid understanding of coding concepts to effectively communicate with developers.
- Document and track user issues, resolutions, and system enhancements for future reference.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Higher Diploma or above in Computer Studies or Information Technology.
- Proficiency in SQL scripting for data manipulation and reporting.
- Basic understanding of programming concepts and ability to communicate effectively with developers.
- Experience with .NET framework, SQL reports, PowerBuilder, and other relevant technologies.
- Strong user support skills with the ability to handle diverse user requests and issues.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with both users and technical teams.
- Ability to troubleshoot and identify system issues and communicate them clearly to the development team.
- Basic knowledge and experience in computer support, networking, and desktop.
- Prior experience in application support or a related role is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in written and spoken English and Mandarin.
