Company Introduction

T&T Supermarket Inc. was founded in 1993 with two stores in BC. Since then, it has expanded rapidly and is now Canada’s largest Asian supermarket chain with 35 stores across the country: 14 in BC, 7 in Alberta, 12 in Ontario, and 2 in Quebec. The Company’s continuous expansion is going to bring more new stores in the next couple of years.

The Role

As the Technical System Integrator, you will be reporting to the IT Manager – Business Engagement. You will manage component subsystems into a single integrated solution. This includes executing tasks such as acquiring subsystems, analyzing information technology needs and developing an in-house solution to ensure all components work together as a coherent unit. This position also reports to the Senior IT Manager, Technology Enablement.

Major Responsibilities

  • Perform in infrastructure system analysis, computer configuration, planning and training of employees on the assigned functional area's automated systems to ensure optimal performance of the systems
  • Evaluate and analyze current system processes, procedures and workflow to determine feasibility of different technology options and solutions to meet their requirements
  • Document technical procedures and related forms to guarantee that knowledge of important technical processes and assigned functional area related application software is passed on to future assigned functional area related Integrators
  • Research, tests and evaluates various software applications for company wide implementation and training
  • Resolve technical and operational problems for users in their assigned functional area
  • Provide technical support, including budget projections, for the assigned functional area in determining current and future software and hardware needs
  • Serve as a liaison to Information Technology in maintaining inventory of technology and assists Information Technology software rollouts, software installations, hardware replacement and repair
  • Possesses high integrity as to maintain the security of sensitive or confidential data
  • Ensures regulatory requirements are addressed in the solution
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Science (or related field) or equivalent job experience
  • Minimum 5 years as Technical System Integrator with the experience directly working on computer-based information systems' hardware, software, networks, wireless systems, systems analysis, IT security procedures and integration with experience in retail systems integration highly preferred
  • Proficiency in Windows; basic understanding of a UNIX based OS and Mac OS administration is a must
  • Experience utilizing programming languages to troubleshoot and revise software applications
  • Communication, collaboration with other departments, work independently, critical thinking, analytical skills, works well under pressure, prioritization, urgency in meeting deadlines, multi-tasking and willingness to learn
  • Willing and able to travel in the North America as needed

Shift

5-day work week (Monday to Friday), 9:00am – 5:30pm
