Background
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced UI/UX Design Manager to lead our talented Creative Team. This team plays a crucial role in driving the success of our business by delivering exceptional user experiences. We specialize in large-scale digital solutions (e.g. websites/mobile app development) for renowned clients like leading companies, NGOs, and government. As the UI/UX Design Manager, you will be instrumental in shaping the creative direction for these high-profile projects, ensuring user-centric design principles are at the forefront of every initiative.
Responsibilities
- Lead and guide a team of UI/UX designers, ensuring alignment with business objectives and client vision.
- Manage team resources effectively, ensuring timely project delivery within budget.
- Oversee the entire design process, from concept to launch, guaranteeing high quality, consistency, and client satisfaction.
- Prepare compelling presentations showcasing innovative solutions, including art directions, UI/UX mockups, and site maps.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, project management, and development, to ensure cohesive project execution.
- Drive research strategy and incorporate findings into business strategy and client projects.
- Foster a positive learning environment, mentoring team members in best practices, emerging trends, and professional growth.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in UI/UX Design, Graphic Design, Interactive Media or equivalent discipline.
- 7+ years of solid experience in UI/UX design, with at least 3 years of proven experience in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Expertise in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Experience in large-scale website/mobile application development is a plus.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and strategic problem-solving skills.
- Strong command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Portfolio showcasing a high level of creative execution and design thinking.
- Candidates with less experience will be considered for Assistant UI/UX Design Manager or UI/UX Design Lead.
