Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Clinical / Educational Psychologist specializing in early childhood as a visiting professional at a child care home in Hong Kong. As a visiting psychologist, you will focus on providing assessments, interventions, and support children aged 6 years and under who reside in the child care home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct developmental assessments for children aged 6 and under in the child care home
  • Collaborate with staff and caregivers to develop individualized intervention plans
  • Provide evidence-based therapy to address developmental concerns
  • Support and equip staff and caregivers with strategies for child development and behavioral challenges
  • Design and deliver training sessions for frontline carers on child development and trauma-informed care
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team for holistic intervention and support
  • Stay updated on research and best practices in early childhood psychology
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments and interventions

Requirements

  • Valid Clinical / Educational Psychologist license and registration in Hong Kong
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships with children, staff, and caregivers
  • Understanding of trauma-informed care and attachment-based interventions
  • Experience designing and delivering training sessions or workshops for frontline carers or child care professionals
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with research in early childhood psychology
