What We Need

• Facilitating listening exercises and provide guidance to students (8 students in a class)
• Ensure student engagement during Zoom class sessions
• Supporting 8 out of 10 classes is critical for maintaining continuity in the course
• Proficiency in Powerpoint and Zoom is a MUST
  
  

Background

Our English listening skills program is one of six free English Enrichment Programs we offer. Starting in P.4, we support students all the way through to P.6 to ensure that they have a strong foundation in English listening skills that will benefit them throughout their academic career and beyond.

What We Have

We provide structured lesson plans with teaching materials to facilitate effective teaching, along with a comprehensive online platform that enables students to revise and practice.

Why this is important

Listening remains one of the most challenging aspects of second language acquisition, primarily due to the lack of an immersive English learning environment. This program fills the gap with 10 intensive listening Zoom classes and an online platform for revision and exercises. Our aim is to equip children with the skills necessary to excel at the HKAT Exam regardless of their background or financial situation.

What We Do

Books & Beyond Reading Club is a Hong Kong-based organization providing free innovative English learning programs for students of lesser means.
