Job Description

Requirement:
 

  1. have academic qualifications of Certificate from a Hong Kong polytechnic / polytechnic university / technical institute in Building Studies / Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering, or equivalent qualification as and required by the Director’s Representative;
  2. have Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination, HKCEE (“Grade E” in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in HKCEE held before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to “Level 2” in Chinese Language and English Language), or equivalent;
  3. be proficient in the use of Microsoft WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT application; and
  4. have positive working attitude and service- oriented mind set.

Job Duties:
 

  1. Supervise building contractor on maintenance works, including making and recording site measurements and maintaining site records;
  2. Conduct survey & inspection to buildings and premises within public housing estates and courts; such inspection and survey may be conducted inside flats;
  3. Conduct survey & inspection to external areas, including slopes, within or adjacent to public housing estates and courts;
  4. Record the maintenance conditions through flat-to-flat inspection; prepare drawings, sketches, cost estimates and works orders;
  5. Brief tenant’s representative, OC and tenants on home caring to perform duties in uniform;
  6. Educate and guide tenant’s representative, OC and tenants the importance of proper maintenance on building elements and services installations;
  7. Establish with tenants and tenant’s representative a good relationship and communication network;
  8. Handle all enquires and complaints including telephone calls after office hours raised by tenants;
  9. Approach tenants during or after office hours for coordination and arrangement of inspection/ maintenance works;
  10. Attend Maintenance Education Booth (MEB) to promote maintenance in public rental housing;
  11. Prepare and update programme inspection report, relevant database, and/or;
  12. Other duties as directed by the HA.
