Process Engineer 2 (Process development and control)

Duties

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Process Engineer. The appointee will focus on process designing, troubleshooting, optimisation, analysis and documentation for the manufacture of sensing chips and instruments. Key responsibilities include:

• Developing, optimising and improving manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, quality and safety;
• Conduct detailed analysis and evaluation of existing manufacturing processes;
• Monitoring and analysing manufacturing process data, identifying trends and proposing solutions for process improvement continuously;
• Collaborating with teammates to ensure smooth integration of new processes, technologies and equipment;
• Scaling up processes for trial production;
• Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory requirements in all process engineering activities; and
• Completing additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

Education: Master’s or PhD in Engineering (Chemical, Process, Mechanical, Industrial), or related field (fresh graduates considered).

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of process optimisation techniques, lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies and statistical analysis;
• Proficient in process analysis, process modelling, and statistical analysis;
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex process issues;
• Working knowledge of process safety, risk assessment and compliance with regulatory standards;
• Experience in sensing instruments and technology is a plus;
• Understanding of quality management systems, such as ISO standards is advantageous; and
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Languages: Proficient in English and Chinese, with strong report writing and presentation skills.
