Job Description

Overview

We’re seeking a highly motivated Business Development Executive, with a strong understanding of consumer trends in the Asian market. This role will report to the Group Business Development Director. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in building a solid pipeline of brand partnerships across various markets and assist the department in leading strategic and tactical projects for the Group.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research and analysis for different business development initiatives (brand, market, category, retail channel, investment funds etc.)
  • Identify business and partnership opportunities, arrange and attend initial meetings to identify the brands / companies needs in APAC
  • Filter and analyse new opportunities against the group’s strategies
  • Create brand / company / category briefs to support introduction of new opportunities
  • Arrange and attend regular catch up meetings with the Country Managers to present new opportunities and discuss ongoing business development
  • Proactively engage and follow up on required action plans for brands
  • Prepare external business proposals under the Country Manager’s lead including but not limited to sales forecast, distribution strategy, P&L simulation
  • Update corporate presentations and internal reports
  • Support with ad hoc tasks as required
  • Liaise and build relationships internally with relevant teams

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, sales or a related field
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in business and partnership development roles
  • Knowledge and experience across multiple categories including beauty is highly preferred
  • Excellent business acumen with outstanding communication & presentation skills
  • Proven ability to initiate, structure and carry out studies and projects
  • Experience in dealing with executive level decision makers
  • Excellent English language ability, proficiency in Cantonese and Mandarin is preferred
  • Positive and resilient attitude, mature, highly motivated and self-starter
  • Desire to work autonomously and take accountability for own performance
