Business Development Manager
We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to lead and drive new revenue streams for the Group. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, developing and nurturing strategic business opportunities to drive revenue growth. This role involves market research, relationship building, and developing actionable strategies to enter new markets, expand customer bases, and increase brand awareness.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement strategies to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Set short-term and long-term goals aligned with company objectives.
- Partake in developing and improving on value propositions.
- Market Research and Analysis:
- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer demands, and potential areas for growth.
- Analyze competitors to position the company effectively in the market.
- Relationship Building:
- Establish and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients.
- Network with key stakeholders, industry leaders, and potential partners.
- Sales and Revenue Growth:
- Generate leads, prepare proposals, and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Collaborate with the sales team to transition prospects into long-term customers and sales uplift.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work with marketing teams to create campaigns that support business development efforts.
- Partner with product and operations teams to tailor offerings to customer needs.
- Performance Tracking and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of business development activities.
- Provide regular reports on progress, forecasts, and challenges to senior management.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify gaps in current processes and suggest improvements.
- Stay updated with industry trends, innovations, and best practices.
- Presentation and meeting hosting requirements.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum of 4-6 years working experience in a sales (FMCG & trade finance related) role.
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role (with a list of potential customers preferred)
- Strong understanding of market dynamics, customer behavior, and competitive landscapes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
