University Nurse, Student Affairs Office (Ref.: 24/182/SAO/UN)

Duties:

Saint Francis University plays a vital role in shaping the future of their students, not just academically but also in fostering overall health and wellness. An university nurse will be responsible to the following duties:

1. To provide first aid for minor injuries, illnesses, and routine health checks, and emergency management;
2. To implement wellness programs that educate students and staff about healthy lifestyles, nutrition, sexual health, and disease prevention, contributing to a healthy campus;
3. To provide immediate care and stabilize individuals until further medical assistance arrives;
4. To play a key role in managing and coordinating health crises, such as outbreaks of contagious diseases, by implementing protocols and educating the community; and
5. To manage medical supplies, and liaising with relevant government departments on student health programmes, and health-related concerns.
   
   
    

Appointment Criteria:

1. Enrolled Nurse or Registered Nurse (HK) have a valid First Aid Certificate Course and at least 5 years clinical experience;
2. Knowledge of current nursing practices and government health and safety requirements in educational settings;
3. Mature, highly organized and self- initiated, with the ability to make quick and accurate decisions with a calm demeanor under pressure;
4. Fluent in English and Chinese (including Cantonese), with strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and build trusting relationships with students, parents and colleagues; and
5. Working hours are from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Mondays to Fridays, with occasional Saturdays. Candidates should be prepared to maintain confidentiality and work outside normal office hours as needed.
   
   
   Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
