Job Description
The Computing Services Centre (CSC) at City University of Hong Kong manages the University’s Information Technology infrastructure and services covering Data Centre Operations, Cloud and System Hosting, Research Computing and High-Performance Computing, Communication and Networking, Workspace and Audio-Visual Technologies, and other related IT functions to support the University’s operations.
Duties
- Manage the Zero Trusted Network Access (ZTNA) project deployment and coordinate with System Integrator (SI) and vendor to fine-tune the system to meet CityUHK’s requirements;
- Support Network Firewall administration and operations encompassing traffic monitoring, rule management and configuration, performance monitoring and firmware updates;
- Review the Work Requests (WRs) and translate them into a configuration change to perform network security-related Change Requests (CRs);
- Support the academic departments’ network security tightening project;
- Perform regular security reviews on the firewall policies and perform security tightening/housekeeping;
- Support building intelligence in SIEM to identify threats from the reports provided by SOC and take appropriate actions to close the loop (e.g., repeated logins, frequent password attempts, impossible geographic location, abnormal inbound/outbound traffic, etc.);
- Assist in information security investigation and carry out forensic analysis; and
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Management or related disciplines, with at least 5 years post-qualification working experience;
- Knowledge of Web Applications, Windows and Linux operating systems, and networks;
- Good communication and interpersonal skills and a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); and
- Good analytical skills with a strong sense of responsibility are required.
- Hands-on experience with information security and project management; and
- Professional certifications such as CISSP and CEH would be an advantage.
Candidates with less experience will be considered as IT Officer (Security).
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.
Salary and Conditions of Service
Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
