Administrative Assistant (Ref. No.: CAiRS-AA)
Duties
The appointee will report directly to Head, People and Culture and perform functions supporting the research activities of the Centre. S/he will be required to:
- Provide HR and administrative support to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of all functions and operational aspects within the People and Culture Division.
- Assist in supporting all HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and benefits, learning and development, performance management and HR system administration.
- Support the development and planning of HR initiatives and policies that reinforce and sustain Centre culture and align with business growth strategy
- Implement HR policies and procedures to meet ITC’s requirements and comply with PolyU’s practice.
- Provide professional HR advice to stakeholders on the interpretation of policies and procedures, employment legislation, performance management and recruitment strategies
- Assist in preparing the required HR documents, forms or other correspondence and ensure that these items are properly disseminated
- Prepare regular HR reports for Management review and provide decision support through HR metrics
- Proactively engage, manage and build strong relationship with different levels of stakeholders
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Head, People and Culture
Qualifications
Applicants should have/ be:
(a) A bachelor’s degree or above in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
(b) 1-Year of HR experience is preferred
(c) Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, coaching and conflict resolution skills;
(e) Good time and project management skills
(f) Ability to build strong relationships and foster collaboration within a team and across division
(g) Ability to analyse processes and information, identify problems and trends, develop effective solutions and strategies
(h) Commitment to provide exceptional service to partners and support to staff members; and
(i) A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, with proficiency in Putonghua being an advantage

and prognostic techniques to advance reliability and safety. The goal of the Centre is to improve reliability and safety of critical components and devices, products, systems and sub-systems designed, commissioned and/or manufactured by Hong Kong companies
