Responsibilities

• Assist Director and Senior Manager to strategize and initiate story ideas for strengthening the positioning of Lingnan University
• Edit/write publicity materials such as articles for official publications, press releases, speeches, etc of relevance to promote and represent Lingnan University
• Work closely with other teams to collaborate on social media and press coverage, in particular, identify areas of interests or strength of the university
• Assist management to monitor potential issues and crises
• Plan and coordinate and support relevant events or functions under the scope of OIAPA

Requirements

• A recognized degree in English/Chinese/Translation or an equivalent qualification with not less than 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in journalism and/or other related areas, such as corporate communication, public relations and publishing
• An excellent command of written and verbal English and Chinese, with proficiency in Putonghua being an advantage
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Abilities to handle projects independently and meet tight schedules
• Good analytical and organizational skills
• Candidates with a strong background in media, publications and multi-media production will be preferred

Candidates with less/more experience will also be considered for appointment at a relevant rank.

Salary and Fringe Benefits
The rank and commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits and mandatory provident fund and gratuity.
