Job Purpose: 

This role is to plan and implement marketing strategies to enhance the visibility and support partnership development of Humanitarian Education (HE). S/he supports the Manager to ensure implementation and execution of comprehensive marketing and promotional initiatives that align with HKRC’s vision and mission. S/he develops and carries out external engagement and promotion strategies for HE.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing campaigns to promote humanitarian education programs through various channels including digital, print, and social media  
  • Produce engaging promotional materials such as brochures, social media posts, newsletters, and website updates that effectively communicate humanitarian values   
  • Design, coordinate and execute innovative social media strategies to enhance online presence, engage with the community, and raise awareness of humanitarian education initiatives 
  • Plan and execute marketing/department events to promote HE and its value such as signature events, workshops and community engagement activities to attract participants and generate interest in humanitarian education 
  • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, utilize data to refine strategies and improve outreach efforts 
  • Build relationship with external stakeholders e.g. local NGOs, tertiary sectors, corporate, members of the International Red Cross Red Crescent Movement for collaboration, learning and support in Humanitarian Education 
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders, including staff, volunteers, vendors and partners, to ensure quality and smooth delivery of marketing initiatives and events
  • Support the programme operation 
     

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferable in Marketing, Communication, Business Administration, Social Science, Education or related discipline;
  • Minimum two-year working experience in Communication, Business Development, Marketing, Education, Non-profit sector, or related aspects. Digital Marketing is highly recommended.  
  • Interested in humanitarian work, value education, external engagement and partnership, experiential learning, global citizenship or social development 
  • Demonstrate knowledge in digital tools, social media management and multimedia production 
  • Proven experience in content development and partnership development 
  • Good communication, presentation and account serving skills 
  • Innovative thinking, marketing strategy development, event management, flexible personality, analytical thinking
  • Able to work independently and under pressure 
  • Good command of English and Chinese, both written and oral (including Putonghua)
  • Five-day work per week, may need to preform duties on weekends or evenings if required


Contract Period: 2 years (renewable)
